Open Crossings Consultation Report

Dave staged a major consultation exercise in 2009, gauging public perception on the safety of open level crossings and their opinion on the need for installation of barriers at the 21 open level crossings in the Highlands.  This report, published in January 2010, is the compilation of responses received to that consultation, as well as Dave's recommendations, guided by his constituent's responses, which he presented to Network Rail, the Office of Rail Regulation, the Rail Safety & Standards Board, the British Transport Police and the Scottish Government.
